ABOUT ME

I’m Suzanne, a Bay Area native with a lifelong passion for art. My love for creativity sparked from watching anime and being inspired by my siblings, who are talented artists. Growing up, I discovered my passion for art through DeviantArt and the vibrant world of digital creativity. I found immense joy in designing body templates that captured a wide range of emotions and body language, offering them freely for others to use. This became a meaningful way for me to combine my love for art with helping others express themselves, sparking a deeper purpose in my creative journey.

I became a graphic designer because it offers the opportunity to visually communicate and create work that is not only aesthetically appealing but also meaningful and impactful. While the ability to create is essential, the true power of design lies in its ability to connect through empathy. Through my past work, I've seen how empathy plays a crucial role in helping people express what they might struggle to communicate. As a designer, I can bridge the gap between their needs and their goals, even when they can't articulate their emotions or self-expression. A skilled designer ensures that the message is clear and understood by all.

Some hobbies I enjoy are product photography, PC gaming, crocheting, and immersing myself in music. These hobbies give me new perspectives and creative inspiration, fueling my passion for bringing ideas to life. These interests allow me to stay creative and find new sources of imagination, which I then bring into my design work. Whether I’m illustrating, designing, or experimenting with new mediums, I’m always looking for ways to grow and push the boundaries of my creativity.

I graduated from CSUEB in 2023 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. During my time there, I was proud to make the Dean’s List for three consecutive semesters, a recognition of my dedication to honing my craft and excelling in my studies.
